SAL FLINT
Senior consultant, school library development
Having trained and taught in the UK, Sal began her standout career as an international teacher, librarian and author in 1997. Sal moved to Tanzania, where she became Head of English at the International School of Tanganyika.
After being recruited to Bangkok Patana School in 2002, she served as Head of Year and Head of IB English, before being appointed as Head of Libraries where she redesigned three school libraries and taught age-appropriate information fluency skills across the whole school community. Sal’s passion is engendering a love of reading in her students. In 2020 Sal returned to the UK, where she published picture books and wrote over 300 chapter books for children in Asian schools. Sal joined Consilium Education in 2022 as a Senior Consultant, specialising in the development and leadership of school libraries.
Sal holds a Master’s in Education from the University of East Anglia, a Master’s in English Studies from the University of Nottingham and a Diploma in Information Management from the Robert Gordon University.
In additon to her work with Consilium, Sal is currently working as executive editor for NotesVilla.com. Her areas of expertise include:
