JONATHAN STRAKER

Jonathan, a Psychology graduate from Exeter University in the UK, holds a PGCE from St. Luke’s College, and the Diploma in Mathematical Education from Roehampton College. His MA in Education Studies was awarded by Loughborough University and his Master’s degree in Counselling by Monash. His career has involved teaching and senior leadership in the UK and in Hong Kong with the English Schools Foundation (ESF). He has held two ESF Deputy Headships and coordinated a number of academic areas in ESF primary schools, including Mathematics and Assessment. As an ESF Advisory Teacher, he played a leading role developing learning policy and pedagogy across the Foundation’s nine primary schools. His most recent position at the ESF, as Head of Student Support, gave him overall responsibility for managing student admissions into all twenty-one ESF schools and kindergartens. He chaired the ESF moderation panel overseeing the entry of students with moderate to severe special educational needs into ESF schools and co-ordinated the ESF Committee of Parents, an advisory body to the ESF’s Chief Executive Officer. Jonathan joined Consilium Education as a full-time consultant in 2016.
