We’re not afraid of the dark!

In these two PDFs collated by Jan Homden there are dark dens to create and fun ideas to explore when it is dark. There are books to read that encourage children to laugh, talk and share their feelings about the dark. Learn about nocturnal animals, plan a slumber party and end the day in a calm and mindful way with Goodnight Yoga. Lots of resources to dip into.

 

Part A Includes: Role play ideas and resources to enhance a sensory environment. In the tuff spot, create a magical indoor garden or set up an area  for investigation and discovery. There are free resources to download and suggested fiction and non-fiction books to add to your book corner/library.

There are shadow puppets to make and nocturnal animals to learn about with free downloadable resources. Chant night time rhymes and plan a ‘slumber party’ with games to play and pancakes to make.
