The impact of Endicott

Sue Collins has been working on the Endicott International M.Ed. Programs for the last five years.  She was moved by the testimonials of the program alumni, and reflects on how the M.Ed. programs have changed so many lives.

While I was in Bangkok last year I met up with Kyle Bilodeau, who had recently graduated from the Endicott M.Ed. in International Education Administration program.

Kyle told me:

“Three months into my term, the Head offered me the position of Head of School. I gladly accepted and am about to enter my third year as head of Crescent International School, in no small part due to what I gained in knowledge, skills, confidence, and networking through the Endicott International M.Ed. program.”

I contacted other alumni to see whether the program had been equally life-changing. Some have opened their own schools, others have moved into leadership roles, and some have furthered their careers in their specialist fields. All of them praised the programs for being unique and truly international, offering the flexibility necessary for an international school educator, and the cohort experience which continues to enrich their lives long after they have graduated.

Minttu Johler graduated from the M.Ed. in International Education with ESL program in 2016.  She is Team Leader and PS Teacher at the International School of Stavanger, Norway.

The courses had a great balance of theory and practice, and I feel thoroughly updated in regards to the most recent studies within the field of education. The program gave me a boost of confidence and helped me rediscover my passion for teaching”.

Nefertiti Makeda graduated from the M.Ed. in International Education Administration program in 2012.  She subsequently founded the Andinet International School, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia of which she is Head.

The members of my cohort not only are my colleagues; we’re a community of learners who have become good friends. We share ideas with one another and support one another. I feel inspired by their commitment to excellence.”

Lieke Burghout-Lemmers graduated from the M.Ed. in Athletic Administration program in 2013.  She is Sport Management and PHE Teacher at the International School of Düsseldorf, Germany.

“The hybrid nature of Endicott online and Endicott in-house was something I loved about this degree. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is planning their next move to possibly become an Athletic Director”.

The Endicott International M.Ed. programs are growing, thanks largely to the personal recommendations of our alumni.

The flexibility of the M.Ed. Programs of Studies allows participants to study while working. The M.Ed. can be completed in a minimum of 13 months, but can be extended for up to seven years. Participants may begin their studies at any time of year. Rick Pacheco, Dean of the International Programs, works with those participants who wish to extend their studies to design a personalized program of studies.

The online courses are asynchronous, allowing participants to log in at their own convenience. Please click on the image below to follow the link.

The M.Ed. summer study locations are diverse. Some participants choose to study in a tranquil mountain or rural setting, some prefer to be in the center of a vibrant city. The possibilities in our four locations are endless!
