ECIS Administrators Conference, April 10 – 12, 2015
Creativity and Listening, Brussels 2015.
Peter Hudson joined Andy and Jan Homden as part of the Consilium delegation attending the ECIS administrators conference at the Crowne Plaza, Brussels in April. The theme of the Conference, Catalysing Creativity was a theme picked up in a pre-conference article by Andy who looked at the kind of conditions which might enhance creative talent across the curriculum in a 21st Century school.
Peter’s enabled participants to experience how staff can learn the essential listening skills, which we believe are essential for students to be effectively supported in 21st Century international schools. He also introduced an exciting new instrument for establishing a measure of a student’s social and emotional well being, the Student Motivational Questionnaire (SMQ). For Peter’s thoughts about why the development of active listening skills for teachers is so important, click the picture of his workshop.
